Or night 1, I suppose.

Unclean Hands
I am worried that my new apartment does not have a dishwasher. For some reason this is something that I forgot to check when I was looking at it, mostly because I didn't think I would actually end up living there (long story). But having done three (three!) loads today, it would be irritating to not have one.
Our grades are going up from fall term. I am only waiting on one, which may be more maddening than before, or less. I haven't decided.

The Fire Next Time
I've set off the smoke alarm half a dozen times in the past week while roasting vegetables. Cooking - it's full of fumes!

Second Life
I need another me to: apply for jobs, look for a new apartment (I want to live closer to campus), do all my reading, finish my outlines, study for exams, read for pleasure, and maintain some sort of life. Volunteers?

Relocating
I'm trying to decide (very early) if I want to renew my lease or try to move closer to campus. The tradeoffs are clear - but do I really want to move all my books again? Not really.

Civilized Procedure
Last night some people came over and I cooked dinner. It felt very grown-up, at least until we decided to finish the night by watching a superhero movie. Of course, on the other hand, for our generation The Dark Knight is equivalent to The French Connection, so...

Sit and Spin
One of the last things I did before leaving NYC was buy a standing mixer off of Amazon because at that precise moment it had been heavily discounted. But I had sent to my parents' in MI because I didn't have enough space for it and it seemed silly to have a 30 lb machine for just 2 months before moving it.
I hadn't had time to use it until last night and now I'm kicking myself for not breaking it out sooner - it really makes everything so much easier and the dough came significantly better than it would with a hand mixer. Best impulse buy ever.

The War on Clutter
The table and couch aren't covered with random junk anymore!
At this rate I may be fully settled by Thanksgiving.

Services
Who knew that you would need so many random services and forms as an "adult"? Renters insurance, auto insurance, health insurance, power, cable, etc...
Living in the modern era is tough.
I read the UM Student Handbook again today. I keep vacillating between being afraid of classes/reading/studying/exams and feeling like it's doable. We'll see.

By the buy
One of the things I'm not looking forward to is moving into my new apartment (which I haven't even seen). I'm more wondering if I'll have time to unpack my 80 million boxes. Probably not.
Will I have time to read non-school stuff? I hope so.
