A little surprising - but road tripping, alone, is actually pretty fun.

Although people make fun of me for doing things alone and enjoying it (going to concerts and movies alone, mostly).

En Route

I'm driving to California in just under a month. Scary! Right now (and this may change) I'm planning to do it in 4 days - two full days of driving and two half days. We'll see how that goes.

White Out

The first major snowfall has arrived, appropriately enough on December 1. It's been snowing picturesquely all day, and now that it's night the half-melted snow has turned to ice on the roads. Dangerous, yes, but it's a little cartoony to see cars going at 5,000 RPM but only 15 MPH. Let's hope there are no accidents - and that the A2 Road Commission does its work.

Driven Snow

First snow fall! I had forgotten how much attention one has to pay to the road if it's snowing. Let's hope they don't oversalt the roads this year.
