Re-Research
A big part of our Legal Practice class this semester has to deal with legal research and the methods you use to look up statutes and court cases. LexisNexis and Westlaw are the two big information services - free for students, ridiculously expensive for firms - that we have to use for research. I was doing a project today and realizing how irritating it is that the research skills I developed in college are completely useless in school; ditto whatever research I did at work. It'd be nice to not have to learn completely new systems every years, I think.

Scratch and Sniff
I was sitting next to a friend in the library a few days ago when we both smelled something weird. Simultaneously we turned to each other, saying:
Me: Do you smell fish?
Her: Do you smell popcorn?
The real question, of course, is: do they make fish popcorn? I hope not.
