Either/Or

The kid I was tutoring today asked me if I voted for Obama. Post-modern!

The New Team

Sadly for me, our Cyberlaw prof is still working on Obama's FCC transition team and so won't be teaching our class. I decided to drop it and take FDA Law rather than take it with the new professor. Disappointing, but at least I'll learn some federal government law. And I can hopefully get an internet law-related internship this summer.

Pedal Pusher

Like a good young hippie socialist, I biked to my polling place today. Fingers crossed!

Fear Factor

I will be thrilled when this election is over so that I can refocus my anxiety from worrying about who will be the next president on to freaking out about exams and grades.

Political Moves

We had our final orientation activities today (THANK GOD) which included a mock class that was surprisingly painless but will likely get a bit more vicious when the semester starts.

I've never had such a strong reaction to politics or the 2008 election as I did today. Driving back on the freeway from A2 I was listening to McCain's and Palin's speeches. She is obviously smart but I was so angry I felt like I was about to do a rollover. As soon as the NPR commentator said that she was a lifetime member of the NRA I actually started yelling at the radio. Ridiculousness.
